Child Free Honeymoons

May 28, 2024

A child free honeymoon offers couples the chance to celebrate their newlywed status in serene, romantic, or even adventurous settings without the presence of their children. Whether you seek secluded beaches, bustling cities, or exotic locations there are plenty of different destinations for you to choose from to have your dream honeymoon!

We would like to inspire you with our list of some of the ultimate (child free) honeymoon destinations.

The Maldives

Over water villas in The Maldives

Renowned for its white sandy beaches, clear waters and overwater villas, this tropical paradise is made up of a collection of over 1,000 islands. So, it is no surprise that the Maldives made the top of the list for top child free honeymoon destinations!

This popular honeymoon destination offers the perfect escape with days filled of snorkelling, relaxing in the spa and lounging outside your private overwater style villa. Many resorts offer romantic extras such as floating breakfasts, sunset cruises and even private candlelit beach dinners. There’s no shortage of romance here!

Of course, you have to visit one of the many picture-perfect beaches like Fulhadhoo, Dhangethi and Hulhumale (just to name a few)! After exploring the beaches try some unmissable Maldivian cuisine such as Garaudhiya (fish soup), Mas Huni (shredded smoked tuna) finished by Saagu Bondibai (a warmed coconut milk, cardamon and rose pudding).

Santorini, Greece

Santorini, Greece

The iconic Greek island of Santorini is known for its white and blue buildings set to dramatic cliffs which overlook the Aegean Sea. This romantic haven hosts charming villages such as Oia and Fira. Here, you and your loved one can explore the narrow-cobbled streets, lined with boutique shops, cafes, and restaurants.

You won’t be short for dining options, especially if you love fresh seafood, local wines and traditional Greek cuisine. Don’t forget to try some baklava, saganaki and dolmades during your stay. Enjoy all this delicious cuisine set to the most breathtaking views, surrounded by the beautifully traditional décor.

Santorini’s cave rooms are arguably just as iconic to the island as the white washed buildings and blue domed churches – so definitely consider staying in one of the cave suites! Many of which have their own private swimming pools and hot tubs all overlooking the stunning views of the sea!

Bora Bora

Bora Bora

What better place to spend your honeymoon then the place nicknamed as ‘The Pearl of the Pacific.’ Bora Bora in the French Polynesia, is known for its beauty, luxury and most importantly, its romance!

Wake to panoramic views of Mount Otemanu, all from your own private overwater bungalow. If that hasn’t sold it to you enough already, why not plan a couples massage at the spa, swim in one of the crystal-clear lagoons or maybe even join a shark feeding tour! Make sure to take advantage of the clear, calm waters and snorkel amongst the coral and see the tropical fish.

Bora Bora offers a great range of food, including international, Polynesian and French inspired cuisine. Expect to see a lot of seafood dishes such as poisson cru (raw fish marinated in lime juice) along with lots of tuna and lobster dishes.

Amalfi Coast, Italy

The Amalfi Coast

Situated along the coastline of Southern Italy, the Amalfi Coast is a perfect destination for child free honeymooners.
