Should I buy an Annual or Single Trip travel insurance policy?
If you travel more than once or twice a year or are abroad for more than 1 or two weeks at a time, it may be best to opt for an Annual Multi-Trip policy but you need to check the trip limits and ensure that you select the region that includes all of your destinations for the year.
I currently have a medical condition for which I take regular medication. Will this be covered under my travel insurance policy?
Pre-existing Medical Conditions of any insured person are NOT covered under this policy. Claims directly or indirectly relating to known Pre-existing Medical Conditions affecting any Close Relative, travelling companion or person with whom You intend to stay are also excluded.

Do I need ‘Baggage and Money’ cover?
Our Annual Multi Trip and Single Trip policies both allow you the option to remove the Baggage section of your policy if you have this protected by your home insurance providers. Please check you household policy to ensure cover will be in place for the duration of your trip.
What happens if I’m the victim of a terrorist attack whilst abroad?
Our policy provides cover under the Medical Emergency and Repatriation & Personal Accident sections in the unfortunate event of a terrorist act. Claims on any other section of the policy associated with terrorism are excluded.
I’m planning a six week holiday, would my Annual Multi Trip insurance cover me to travel for this length of time?
Cover is provided as standard for up to 50 days for those aged up to 65 years (35 day for those aged 66 - 85 yrs )in any one trip on an Annual Multi Trip policy. If in doubt, please refer to the policy summary for individual trip limits.
If I apply online, will I be covered to go on holiday the same day?
Yes, provided you buy the cover before the start of your trip. You will be covered as soon as you complete your transaction and sent a copy of your validation schedule and links to the policy wording and policy summary in order for you to print them at your own convenience. Please read your policy carefully and ensure that you take a note of your policy number and the emergency contact telephone number before you travel.
How can I pay for my Flexicover travel insurance?
Payment can be made by debit or credit card. Payment online is via a secure server which uses advanced encryption technology to ensure your details are safe during transmission.
What is the policy excess / excess waiver?
The policy excess is the amount that is payable by you under certain sections of the policy for each and every claim that you are responsible for. The policy excess is per insured person each and every incident. If you purchase the excess waiver option, this will delete the requirement for you to pay the first part of the claim.
Do you offer cover if I am pregnant?
Our policies exclude all claims arising from pregnancy within 8 weeks of the estimated date of delivery (or 16 weeks in the case of a known multiple pregnancy). Otherwise, claims arising from complications of pregnancy will be covered.
Does the Flexicover policy cover repatriation to home?
Yes, repatriation cover is provided as part of the £10,000,000 medical expenses section of the policy. In the event that you need to be repatriated, contact must be made with our assistance providers in order to approve this and make the necessary arrangements on your behalf.
Can you travel separately on an Annual Multi Trip policy?
Our Annual Multi Trip policies provide the facility for you to travel separately from other named insured persons on your policy.
Do I need to take a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) with me when I travel?
It is not compulsory to travel with an EHIC but, should you make a claim for necessary medical or emergency dental treatment at a state hospital within the EU, you will not be subject to paying the policy excess of £65 per person, provided the EHIC has reduced your treatment costs.
If I live at a separate address from my partner, can we still have a couple policy?
No, you would need to purchase separate policies. You can only benefit from a couple premium rate when you have lived together for at least 6 consecutive months prior to the date of application.
Can I extend the winter sports cover 17 days on my Annual Multi trip policy?
Yes, upon payment of an additional premium, cover can be extended to include 31 days cover.
Do you provide Personal Liability cover for holiday accommodation?
Personal Liability cover is provided for temporary rented holiday accommodation only.
Am I covered on my policy if I am working?
Non manual work, including waiting on tables and bar work is covered subject to certain terms and conditions. Manual work in conjunction with any profession, business or trade during the trip is excluded from cover. Please contact our Flexicover Customer Services Department on 08452234520 for further advice.
Am I covered if I travel overseas to study?
Yes, our policies will cover you. Furthermore, if you are under 45 years of age, our Gap Year policy can be extended to include cover for Course Fees (£2,000) and Computer Equipment (£1,000) for an additional premium.
What is the single article limit?
The limit for any one article, pair or set of articles is £300.
What is the Cooling Off period?
You have the right to cancel your policy within 14 days of the date of issue or receipt or the terms and conditions, whichever is the later. We will refund any premiums you have paid and will recover from you any payments we have made.
Does the annual policy cover me for UK trips?
Yes, provided you have pre-booked a minimum of 3 consecutive nights in paid accommodation away from home.
